Alright, my Basil plant is having a lot of problems. For one, it’s outgrown the Pico light, but even before, the leaves have been browning at the tips (maybe getting burnt?). I’m not sure if I should be pruning / how to do it to encourage growth
Did you allow the plant to grow leaves while the light was still low (few inches tall)? Was this a transplant or a plant grown from seed?
At the initial stage, basil plants grow one central stem. Hence once they reach 6-8 inches tall, pinch the central stem back, removing about one-third of the plant. This would help double the basil harvest by turning single stemmed plants into double stemmed plants. Prune you basil plants every two weeks or so to stimulate its growth.
