mrunal I’m happy with it - the hairline cracks don’t impact me using it at all, it’s just something worth pointing out, particularly if you want to scale and sell these for $45 to the public. The fact that it happened 2 out of 3 times seems like it’s something that’s either related to a bad batch or something that’ll crop up again until the process is changed… but also feels like a pretty solvable problem.
While there’s some issues with the build quality, the overall functional design is very nice - the funnel attachment is clever, little wasted space, aesthetically pleasing, and some things like the telescoping rod are “good enough” even if they feel a little flimsy at first. The light on my third unit (not yet used) spinning around with very little friction “might” be an issue, but there’s limited range of motion and worst case scenario I can put a piece of closed cell foam or something between it and the wall.
I was one of the more patient people on KS - people being bottled up due to Covid sort of helped this take off, but between logistics, health concerns, and trying to really scale up a small operation there’s going to be bumps along the way.
