Nature is a gift to mankind. Due to the lack of space in urban areas, man has found a way out to bring nature into his limited space with indoor gardening.
Here are a few tips every indoor gardener should know:
LIGHT - most houseplants don’t require direct sunlight. It is always advised to do some experimenting to find the exact amount of light needed for your houseplants.
WATERING - do not overwater houseplants, it will eventually kill them. Before watering, always check whether your plants need water or not.
TEMPERATURE - the ideal temperature for growing indoor plants is 60-75F. Extreme hot or cold temperatures can cause damages or kill the houseplants.
REPOTTING - repot your houseplants into larger pots whenever necessary. Never repot an unhealthy houseplant as repotting could kill it.
PRUNING - to encourage fresh new growth, prune your plants regularly. Pruning also helps your plants look good.
CLEANING - clean the leaves of your indoor plants with a soft damp cloth or rinse the leaves with a gentle spray of water. It is necessary to clean indoor plants, as the dust cuts down on the light necessary for photosynthesis.
